Barcelona Packaging Hub, a network of leading companies in packaging machinery and technology, is born.
The Hub promotes collaboration between different companies in the province of Barcelona, while giving visibility and value to the packaging technology of companies in the sector.
Among several manufacturers in the sector, Effytec, INVPack, Mengibar, Synchropack, United Barcode Systems, Volpak and Xolertic, came the idea of creating a hub of reference in the sector, promoting the Barcelona brand globally.
Barcelona Packaging Hub aims to bring together leading manufacturers of packaging machinery and technology to offer global solutions for packaging projects to companies around the world.
The fact of creating a Hub with different associated companies allows to offer a complete solution for the packaging projects of companies from different sectors, facilitating the search and location of specialist companies in each type of process.
The different companies that are part of the Hub offer solutions for specific needs of each type of packaging, with the capacity to jointly respond to larger and more complex projects.
The Hub’s starting point
The organization was born at a time when the Hubs or meeting points are becoming increasingly strong at a global level and also at a local level. More than 90% of the companies in the packaging sector in Spain, Portugal and France are concentrated in the province of Barcelona, which is the strategic center for the sector.
The Director of the Barcelona Packaging Hub, Lucas Palma, says: “We started the project with great enthusiasm and with the certainty that all partners will help to boost the sector and the Barcelona brand globally. Between all of us, we have many years of experience and a significant number of clients that endorse our track record. The creation of the Hub materializes and puts a name to a collaboration strategy that we have already been carrying out in the sector. We need each other and we work well together.
